Art and music together! What an exciting journey of adventure.!
I paint because of the feeling of the palette knife layering paint on the canvas, and the watercolors diffusing in vibrant splashes across the paper. I sing and play music because there are so many evocative beautiful melodies and lyrics. And I love sharing this creative experience with students of all ages! Why don't you join me?

Selections from my "dream come true" abstract show "Flying High" in October 2022
2023 Highlights:
3 Rennaissance Faires engaged my musical interests in the late Spring and Summer.
In the Studio, my abstract painting journey continued with a series of acrylic canvases.
At Arts of the Albemarle, my work was featured along with several other regional abstract painters
for First Friday in June and through the Summer.
During July and August, I pursued my art and music practice, minus students.
I had my some very exciting art sales in September and October, which is very gratifying!
In November, I played my harp for First Friday at Arts of the Albemarle.
I played my hammered dulcimer for an event at Merchants Mill Pond and also was honored to play for a friend's art opening at the Perquimans Art Gallery in Hertford.
Then, in December, I brought both my historic instruments to The Newbold White House in Hertford, NC
for their annual Christmas Open House.
Finished out strong with the Christmas Shoppe at my studio where 2 artist friends of mine joined me,
to bring artisan crafts and original artwork to our local community for a festive shopping experience!

I played my first Renaissance Faire in Kinston NC in Spring 2022. Played there again as well as the Southhampton Faire in Virginia in 2023.
Of course, Christmas wouldn't be complete without playing at the Cupola House for the annual Candlelight Tour and also the Newbold White House for their Colonial Christmas. One fun thing about playing in different venues is getting to dress in different period costumes! |
Always available for individual or group art workshops! please call 757. 404. 5272 for more info.
"Colors of Summer" is an acrylic painting that found a home with a buyer in Virginia Beach.
